1. As you will see I have 3 sliders to control each AU. One for the volume. One for the playback rate in AU Varispeed and one to control the playback pitch in the same AU Varispeed. When I controlled the AU via mouse everything works fine but I'm using a midi controller too (evolution UC-16) to do the same task but when I turn my knob addressed to AU Varispeed playback rate they changed the playback rate and the playback pitch values at the same time OK -- this is a new "feature" in 1.2.8. Here's the reason: the playback rate and playback pitch are two different ways of changing the same thing. One is specified as a rate (1x, 2x, etc.) and one in "cents", where there are 100 cents per semitone. IN the previous version, there was a problem if you changed the playback rate without changing the pitch -- when you reactivated the scene, Isadora would init both values. So let's say you set the playback rate to 2x, and left the playback pitch at 0. Because Isadora sent both of these values to the AU, it would first do the 2x, but then set the playback pitch to 0 and cancel out the 2x. In other words, it would playback at normal speed. So, I introduced a feature, specific to this AU, where if you changed the playback pitch, the rate would change automatically to match and vice-versa. There is no real reason to change the playback pitch separately from the playback rate. They are just two different ways to access the same parameter.
2. As you will see I have below these slides a pan dial and below 2 buttons (+ and -) + a number field ans a big button to START/STOP the AU. So all these is to control the number of the file and when I want to play it. So in the 1.2.7 version I'm able to change the file using the number or the + or - buttons if the movie was playing or not. Now in the 1.2.8 v anytime I changed the file (via + or - buttons or using a number) the file began to play even the (big) button START/STOP was in STOP position. So I can't choose the file before to play later and because I'm working with 7 AU + 4 Sound Player and 2 Movie Player with sound at the same time it is a problem for me. I have recreated this problem and will fix it. Sorry for the inconvenience. Best, Mark - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Mark Coniglio / TroikaTronix Creator of Isadora
