User input as seconds Can't Post

one user inout changed to allowing seconds
others won't do, even when set to match property.
even to copy and paste reverts to integer or maybe float.... How do I change a user input to have a type of "seconds"? The seconds data type appears to be float*1000.

Re: [primald] User input as seconds [In reply to] Can't Post

Dear Rob,

Once you connect a "mutable" input like this, it shouldn't change again. (I.e., once there is a wire, the type of data should be fixed.)

Please file this is as a bug so I can track it, and I will fix it.

You are correct though that seconds are actually transmitted as an integer specified in milliseconds.

Best Wishes,
Mark

Re: [primald] User input as seconds [In reply to] Can't Post

Rob: I created a User Actor and added one User Input. By default, the User Input is set to "Match Property" (double-click the User Input Actor to see this setting.)

In this case, if I connect the User Input first to a seconds type input (e.g., the rate on the Envelope Generator) the User Input changes to a type of "seconds" in terms of the display. Then I connect it to a number input (e.g., a Calculator actor) and it remains displaying seconds.

Is this not the behavior you see?

Just to be clear, the first thing you connect the User Input to (when it is set to Match Property) determines the characteristics of that input. At least that's how it is working for me.

If you are seeing different behavior, then give me a procedure to recreate and I'll explore further.

Best,
Mark
