A Simple Reliable Movement Trigger? Can't Post

Hello All
I'm currently doing a work that involves a bicycle and two images. The first image is a movie file and the second is a live feed via a video camera. The movie file plays like a backdrop. When someone pedals the stationary bike, which is mounted on a home trainer, it needs to switch to the live feed and when they stop, it needs to switch back. I have had this working in the most clumsy fashion through attaching a rollerball mouse to a moving part, though this method lacks reliability. Can the wiimote be used simply as a trigger to activate a jump between scenes? Is there a simpler cheaper option that anyone can think of?
One more quick query: is there some kind of pause option on the activity of a trigger, so that if I continue to use a mouse I'm not continually activating the trigger whilst trying to adjust settings on each scene?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks
Kevin
