Automation sliders? Can't Post

I've just started a patch to use a Behringer BCF2000 with Isadora.
I can get data from the sliders on the bcf, but I can't seem to figure out how to sync the physical sliders and the virtual sliders in Isadora. I want to move a slider in isadora, and have the sliders on the BCF respond to that. But I also want to be able to move rge physical slider and have the virtual ones move (which is all it does right now).

Is there any info on how to do this?

I have a BCF, but not with me otherwise I would be able to check that out.

I am not sure if motorized faders only work with USB + Midi... Does the BCF faders work in any other programs just using Midi?

I will ask about and get back to you...

I haven't tried with just midi. Actually, the only program I've had the faders automate is with Protools. I couldn't get the surface working with Logic or Live. I havn't done extensive testing tho, I have been using it with Protools, and just started trying to make it work in other programs. So it could be user error too.

I've had one working with Logic 7, but I have Logic 8 now and its boxed up so I cant test it sorry.

I remember that you have to install it in logic as a Mackie Logic Control Surface and it works fine. I am just trying to work out if the motorized faders work with midi or usb, but technically it should work in both instances.

I wish I had mine now becauses thats something I would like to find out.

I have discovered that the motorized faders work by means called 'parameter feedback' and it is possible Isadora does not support this, but I can not confirm.

We shall see as more people reply to this post. Else, email mark perhaps?

Thanks for the info Vincere. I'll try some more testing/research soon. I'll give Logic a try again, I could swear I remember reading that the usb didn't work for some programs.

I'll wait it out on this thread for now. I need some guts to control first anyways. :)
I was trying to get the surface working in Max, I got info in, but no flying faders in there. And I figured Isadora would be a little simpler to deal with this sort of stuff, so a few tangents of thought later, this thread was started.

Hello,

I use the motorised fader (and encoder feedback) with Isadora without problem. You declare your BCF for midi output in Isadora, you use send control with the good port/channel/controler number, you set the value and you trig it, working perfectly for me and very useful when you enter a stage to not "jump" when setting something.
