demo mode remote splashScreen Can't Post

I use Isadora on multiple Mac-mini, in demo mode, placed in remote place, without keyboard. Il would be nice to have the possibility to start Isadora without the necessity to click 'OK' for demo mode (it could be a time counter, like in shareware), so it's easy to start multiple screen.

Thank you

Re: [jhoepffner] demo mode remote splashScreen [In reply to] Can't Post

Another anoying situation is when I work on the main computer (with save enabled), with 4 other computer in demo mode (for projection), if i quit the main application, its impossible to reopen Isadora in save mode, only demo mode. It's necessary to quit all the other one, relaunch the main app and the relaunch the remote/demo ones, not very practical, even with VNC…

I'm not sure about the problem of needing to close all copies of Isadora? I don't have that problem, but I only have it regestered on one computer, if it's registered on two of them they yes the registrations will conflict.

Also at least on the PC the demo notice does go away after a while.

I do this a lot and I ended up building a little application with a button to copy my new file to all the computer, and a button to start Isadora on all the computers, and a button to kill it.
However killing it is "not nice" and leaves the PC in a potentially unstable state, it would be nice to have an actor that could shut down isadora. Or maybe I should be sending keystrokes to isadora to try and shut it down...

Also I'd love to be able to force isadora not to search for video files in all folders. It's a nice feature, but it takes a long time often, and when I'm having to close, update, and restart isadora on the remote computers whenever I find I need to make a change or update a video file then it can eat a lot of time.

The demo mode screen should only appear the first time you run the program on a given computer. Is that not the case?

Regarding this:

Please file a bug report -- this definitely should not be the case. Hopefully I can test it... I don't have two computers with me at the moment.
