snapshots. Can't Post

Other thing.

I may be wrong, tell me if i am, but i've noticed that when you take a snapshot, it doesnt record the values within user actors.

Am i correct on this?

Yup that's how it works. I consider that a bonus :) if I have values I really don't want recorded I bury them in a user actor, and control them with midi or on screen controls. If I want something recorded, I make sure there is an input into the user actor for that.

It's gets fairly complex that way and I find it tricky to use snapshots sometimes, but that trick has helped.

I wish there was a Ramp from snapshot to snapshot option though, that would be great, though with some work you can build one...

It is by design that Isadora does not storing the values inside User Actors. The idea is that, the inputs to the User Actor will be updated, and thus all the necessary parameters inside will update based on those inputs.

I suppose I can see the problem that would occur if you're using a User Actor primarily as a "macro" to save screen real-estate or to enhance organization, and you are just opening it up in and editing the settings inside -- settings which may not be connected to some user input.

I'll see if I can dream up some elegant solution to this.

Best,
Mark
