tabbed control panes and more controls

Hi,
I'd like to see the ability to make controls live on tabbed panes and for the currently selected tabbed pane to be usable to switch off parts of my tree.
although scenes are similar I want to be able to change between diff controls while current clips keep playing, so it's not really a scene change that I'm after.
in general it would be useful if controls had a "hidden/visible" property that could be controlled by other controls or by a variable in the tree (eg keyboard watcher or midi)
I'd also like to see a color picker, gradient controls and a 2d trackball style control... eg see these:
