Basic picture slide show? Can't Post

I'm new to Izzy and heres my stupid question. I am trying to run 3 slide shows to 3 projectors. I am having trouble getting the pictures to stay up long enough to see them (jump and pulse...) Any way to do this without having to convert Hertz to seconds?
Thanks, Anna SMac

Hi - and welcome!
A little info on the basic setup/hardware config would be most helpful to get you an answer. Is this all off one machine with an external breakout box? Are there significant distances to the end source? Cabling? Perhaps attach a pic of your Izzy patch. There are a lot of extremely knowledgeable folks here and I'm sure it can be solved....

Yes by making the Hz into a fraction of a number if 1Hertz=1 second than .5Hz=2s or .2Hz=5s.

You can make a simple converter with a Calulater by setting:

"operation" to divide
"value 1" to 1
"value 2" would be number of seconds you want
"output" gets connected to your Pulse Generator "freq" input

If this is not what you are looking for post your patch so I can see how you are changing your pictures.

You can also use an

Enter Scene Trigger -> Trigger Delay -> Jump

in each scene to control the timing, and that way you don't need to know anything about Mr. Hertz.

Best Wishes,

maybe you can use this one...
if you want to show 100 slides, you don't have to make 100 scenes
it's not finished yet, but it works

Edit: Solved the problem. Apparently 1.2 wasn't the latest version after all. Sorry.

For some reason I can't get the posted file to work. I'm getting an error message that it has been saved with a newer version of Isadora. I'm running version 1.2 on OS X. Has anyone had similar problems?

Re: [badgerton] Basic picture slide show? [In reply to] Can't Post

OK, I tested the patch by truskske (thanks for that!), but it wasn't quite what I was looking for.

I'm trying to make a slide show that would be synced to the beat of an external music source with Sound Frequency/Level Watcher. I thought I would be able to do this with Picture Player but apparently it can only play just one image. Any tips on how to do this without having to create a separate scene for every image file? As you can probably tell, I'm very new to Isadora.

Try the Router actor.

Set your level limit to trigger the router to switch to the next output with each beat.

Hi!
You can use an Integer Counter to add one on each trigger, and so change the index of the Picture Player (you have to load some pictures there)
Then, you can use Trigger Delay to wait for a while before changing the image, or you can use en Envelope Generator to control the level of a Video Mixer, fading between 2 Picture players.
Just keep on experimenting, and find your own solution!
