Ci clips and size recomms? Can't Post

Hi

Mr. I-don't know here again... anybody know if one should worry about mixing sizes when using CoreVideo Isadora? Here's what I'm doing:

3 CI projectors (into a TH2G) each showing a group of clips; CIproj #1 is 600 x600, CIproj #2 is all 640 x 480; CIproj #3 is all 800 x 408

I don't see a problem when testing, but I don't understand CI under the hood, thus can't decide whether this is an efficient way to do things. Advice?

Still no word on the scaling issue of "to double/halve" or not... ie, should I be making my clips 300x300, 320x240, 400x204?? The throw distance is large for me (28 feet) so I may go for higher rez hoping to keep the image "clean." Thoughts?

Thanks

John

All of the imagery is loaded into "texture maps" inside your graphics card when using CI. While it will make some difference as the video is uploaded to the card (i.e., bigger resolutions will take more processor), the scaling operations are going to have far less impact because it's being done by the card.

Hope that helps,
Mark
