Hello Users, Now that I'm back in the States, I want to make an effort to start developing a "reference" platform for playing multiple channels of video to multiple projectors -- a specific hardware configuration (computer, cards, disk drives, memory config, etc.) that can be guaranteed to give a certain level of performance. I myself have never used the multiscreen output feature in a major performance with Troika Ranch, so I actually don't have this information. This topic is however timely because I'm making an arrangement with a vendor of Macintosh systems to get access to some top of the line machines on which I can do some testing. Of course, I want to create such a specification for Windows as well, and if I need to rent the hardware to come up with a spec, I will do so, as this "baseline" system info has been long needed. But, I want to start with advice from my users who have implemted such systems. We could start with the following: 1) Tower Configurations - CPU, RAM, Disk Drive 2) Video Cards -- brand, model, RAM, etc. What has worked for you in the past? What pitfalls should we avoid? How many channels can you play and get full frame rates? Any information to fill in the blanks would be much appreciated. I look forward to your responses.
