Re: [duVa] IZZ FUTURE ? [In reply to] Can't Post

I did have a programmer for a short time, and he was very talented. But, unfortunately, he took another job shortly thereafter.

I have continued to search for a C++ programmer, but have not had much luck. In this day an age, finding a Java, Perl, or PHP programmer is a lot easier than C++, because these are the languages that are used on the web. In a way, C++ is a bit more of a dinosaur.. but it is also necessary for some video processing aspects of Isadora.

It has also been a difficult chunk of time because I've been on the road almost constantly doing Troika Ranch projects since December. Balancing my artistic practice and the needs of my users is tricky. I am doing the best I can given this situation.

It's a continuing struggle... but this has not stopped me from working on the most essential issues as I've prioritized them. When I had my six weeks in Berlin, I was coding 8-12 hours per day; while on the road I'm still coding at least 2 hours every day. This has led to a redesign of the internal video processing engine, the possibility of movies that play in background threads, and a host of other things that all relate to frame rate stability and efficiency. These features will see the light of day very soon.

But... if you know anyone who is talented in C++, please send them my way. I am continuing my search.

Best Wishes,
Mark
