Mirror on two computers Can't Post

I bought a MacPro a few weeks ago. It crossed my mind that it may be possible to harness my old G5 to project the same images as the macpro on different screens. I would need to split the usb signal from a simple Xkeys footswitch plus split my video input signal somehow. I'm running midi note triggering also into Izzy, but I can split that at the midi device. The place that I really don't see a path for is the footswitch Xkeys input device splitting to two computers.
Any thoughts? Or even a completely different route to mirroring.
Also, I think this means I would need a license to do that from TroikaTronix.
Thanks-
Paul M.

Actually you don't need to split your control hardware at all. You can use one version of izzy to talk to the other across your network. Additionally you do not need 2 licenses. You can run your project on the second machine with just the demo version (you can't save code changes, but don't need to).

There are a couple of ways to have izzy talk between computers. The easiest is to use the built in netBroadcaster & listeners included in izzy already.

Set up a series of netBroadcasters in the "master" copy of your project that are mapped to each control. Then put listeners in the copy on your G5 to mirror the control to THAT copy. If you put both broadcasters & listeners in both copies you'll be able to control in either direction (macbook -> g5 or g5 <- macbook).

You can also use OSC control, but as you are looking to control izzy from izzy this may be more than you need.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction-
I'll work on that approach.

With some bad experiences, I dont recomand netbroadcaster, sometimes sudenly not working. I use now only osc between different isadora on different computers, no problems anymore.
