Opening Isadora on a different Mac? Can't Post

Hi - I have the USB key version of Isadora and I have created a project using about 100 media files on my imac saving all the files together on a seperate portable hard drive. When I try to open the project on my laptop, Isadora asks me to locate all the files individually, even though they been all saved together as one project on the hard drive (including the main Isadora project file). Is there a way to stop this happening?

Many thanks

The location of files on an external volume is a known issue that will be resolved in the next release.

The best thing to do for the moment is put your Isadora document at the top of the hierarchy on the external volume, i.e.,

Isadora Doc
Folder 1
media 1
media 2
Folder 2
media 1
media 2

If you organize things this way, Isadora will automatically find the files.

Best,
Mark

Ive been running into similar problems and have noticed that file name length seems to be an issue.

When relocating an isadora file and associated media from one location to another any files with a file name longer that 32 characters including the dot extension will never be found by Isadora and will pop up a "Locate Missing Media" dialogue box for every file.

Hope this helps

The long filename bug is fixed in the coming version, 1.2.9

Best,
Mark
