Preload movie processor impact? Can't Post

I was looking in the wiki about movie preload.

"If you set the 'mode' option to 'forever', as soon as the movie is deactivated (i.e., movie player scene is deactivated, or visible property set to 'off') the movie is automatically preloaded again to be ready for the next time it is played.
The 'mode' option has nothing to do with the scenes - it is global and related directly to the specific movie."
What impact does "forever" have on the processor? Is the preload just a pointer?
Thanks- Paul M.

Re: [Paul M.] Preload movie processor impact? [In reply to] Can't Post

What happens when you choose 'forever' is that as soon as the movie is not playing, (i.e., you switch to another movie or set the 'visible' input property to 'off') it will be preloaded. The only thing to watch out for here is that preloading some movie types will cause a little hiccup, as it totally occupies the Isadora while this happens.

In any case, if you want to make sure that a movie is preloaded before playing it, you can choose this option.

Best Wishes,
Mark
