Rotation a still 360° Can't Post

Hello

This MUST be easy but I have a total block.

I need a still to rotate smoothly, so i need to count to 359 fairly fast/evenly.

I want to control the tempo, from really slow to really fast with a midi slider that gives me 0-127.

Very grateful for a solution

btw. the image needs to have a alpha channel, which i cant figure out either.

I am new to working with stills in isadora, but I will understand a complex explanation.

thanks

fubbi

[EDIT]

I am a fool, sleeping on it told me that the panspinzoom actually completes 360° within it's 0-100 range.

not very smooth rotation tho, any ideas on that is still welcome

How about the Wave actor connected to the spin input of the Projector? You can continuously vary the frequency of the Wave actor at the 'freq' input.

Best,
Mark

Hi

I did that, but it's not smooth, i guess it chokes on all the decimals or something...

Hi there,
if it is not smooth enough, try the "Smoother" actor Smile
i hope this helps, it usually work for me, and i'm a freak of smoothing things always more, fluidity is my goal
cheers

Hi - I have some video which needs slight rotation. Rotating it in the projector gives smooth playback, but I would then like to crop the video's edges to straighten them up again.
Rotating with spinner and then cropping pixelates the video.

Any tips?
Thanks

How about spinning in the Projector and using the Zoom input to zoom in a little, thus making square edges? The projector works so well because it's all done on the Graphics Card in OpenGL.

The Spinner actor uses a fast but not beautiful algorithm to do the spinning. The only thing you might try is using the Scaler actor to double the resolution of the video before you rotate, and then scaling it back. You might see an improvement, but it will definitely be slower.

I don't have much else to suggest on this issue...

Best Wishes,
Mark
