Stages staying on whilst in othe program Can't Post

Is there anyway you can make stages (the output) stay whilst in another program, I am running in a performance and I need to flick to Max/MSP/Jitter but... as most of you will know, the stage(s) disappear.

Any tips or tricks?

Don't understand. Does the floating stage windows setting not do it?

I think I know why its doing it.... and its such a simple reason...

I have the floating stages settings ticked BUT I am running 10.5 OS and I use 'spaces' so when I was switching between programs its switches the screens around.

I know what it is now.... Will have to remember this!

As I think you figured out, you need to uncheck the Floating Stage Windows option in the Stage tab of the preferences.

Best,
Mark

Nope. It keeps confusing the hell out of me!

it's not a fault, its just a confusing conflict.

If I have Max/msp open and Isadora in one 'space' say space number 1 in spaces then the floating stage works fine.

BUT, If you open max/msp in space 1 and then isadora in space 2, then when you switch from one to another it moves the output also.

Actually it makes complete sense when I think about it but it has confused me for a while. All i (we) need to remember is that when doing a performance I can only switch between applications aslong they are all in the 'space'.

Crazy hmm yup got me for a while that one!

I have not really tested Isadora with Spaces... but as you've surmised, I think it is a bad idea to have Isadora in one space and Max in another. The behavior and movement of the windows is unpredictable.

Best Wishes,
Mark
