bug affecting user actors and scenes in 1.2.8? Can't Post

I am building a big patch for a theatre show which will have several scenes.

I noticed that in in the last version released (1.2.8) there's a different way to approach scene (a bug?) that is making me crazy.
If a user actor (i.e. containing a trigger value resetting the default values of an actor) is simply wired to an actor, every time a new scene is entered the values inside the user actor are triggered bypassing the actor values set in the scene that, doing so, can't be recalled as usual, making the use of scenes completely useless.

I made a simple commented patch (with a clip inside) to explain what's happening.
You can download the patch (with a movieclip) at this link.
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=PFOYO00Q
(you just have to enter the verification code you'll see on the top left of the page and then wait 30 seconds before pressing a free download button)

the patch without the movie is attached to this post

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi

I don't know if this solves your problem... I don't know another way. Add a movie and see if this works for you. BTW, sending a "0" resets the colorizer, not a "50"

Good questions!

John

Hi John
thanks for your interest but your patch does not seem to solve the problem.
if you click on the buttons on the lower scene bar, the values are each time restored to the ones belonging to the user actor which is simply wired to the actor supposed to store the values for a specific scene.

I am quite sure of what I am stating about the supposed bug, because I've tried to open with Isa 1.2.8 a complex patch I built with Isa 1.2 for another theatre work (a patch used in several live performances) and the scenes didn't work anymore.
So the patch is useless in the new Isa version.

Every suggestion is welcome.

Thanks again.

Lorenzo

This is definitely a bug -- and I've now fixed it. It will appear in 1.2.9, which I should be able to release this week.

Best,
Mark

ok
hope you'll release it ASAP
;-)
I have to do some deep changes to the patch I am building, and it's almost impossible to do that without useractors/macros

let us know
