compress movies Can't Post

Hi there,

This may be outside the scope of this forum, however I have been trying to use the compress movies app posted on the Trokia website, and (it seems) as though no matter what kind of video I drag and drop onto it It will expand the icon as though it is launching, however nothing happens afterward...Are there any tricks to getting this software to work?

Thanks so much.

-Alex

Yes.

I found that you need the app to be put onto your dock. when you drag the file to it a option box pops up.

Hmmm....I placed the app in the applications folder and placed it in the Dock...same deal though, I drag a file onto the icon in the doc, it bounces once and nothing happens...Am I still missing something? I'm on a PowerPC Mac G5 quad running 10.4.11 w 4 GB RAM....

Thanks again...

Re: [Aolis] compress movies [In reply to] Can't Post

Unfortunately there are some bugs I've discovered with Compress Movies. For some reason, certain codecs don't work properly with it. It seems to work properly with DV and Photo JPEG as sources, but others (H264?) don't render. I can't put a lot of energy into this right now... so for the moment you'll have to choose another solution.

Best,
Mark
