geting text messages / SMS to Isadora	Can't Post

I am hoping to build a public shoutbox that will get messages from a text file and project them into previously arranged positions, like headlines to a newspaper layout.
There are several unknown parameters to me, so I am asking the wiser and the more experienced to kickstart me.

I can get sms messages of a mobile phone via bluetooth and I can ( hopefully :) script the thing to create automatically updated text file at a certain time interval.
Is there a way to make Isadora read this text file at certain intervals? Does it check for line breaks?
Has anybody ever used strange fonts ( like letters that have lines on top of their C or Z, eastern european kind )?

Any suggestions are very welcome-.

Isadora doesn't have the ability to read text files currently. I am working on support input of text strings via Open Sound Control. Is there any way to get the text messages (perhaps in a Java app) and send them to Isadora via OSC?

Has anyone had any more luck with this? I am helping somebody with a project at the moment that requires a SMS message to be converted into text and then inputed into Izzy somehow...

I've built a work-around for text using Quartz Composer as an input to the Core Video version of Izzy.

The basic strategy is a QC composition that reads an external XML file (could also be RSS feed) and converts an XML string to an image output. The QC composition "publishes" the QC video/image output (see "settings"). Then put the QC comp into your Izzy Freeframe plug-ins directory. Izzy will treat this QC as a Video Actor with image outputs.

Search for (options)
