re-ask... CI projector & scaling clips? Can't Post

Hi All

I'm working with CI MoviePlayers and CI projectors. My question is whether the CI actors utilize the "older" trick of upscaling in simple ratios. It used to be that using 320x240 was very efficient if one used "direct" on the non-CI projectors (or 400x300 in my case as the video beamers are running at 800x600). The CI projectors don't have "direct." I have tested things a bit haven't come to a conclusion... any thoughts? (photoJPEG compression)

Secondary question: does using "aspect on" diminish performance with CI Projectors? I can't tell from experimenting, as the cycles and vpo reading change quite a bit even within a set scene.

Thanks,

John

You don't need to consider the resoution really when scaling. All of it is done on the graphics card... so simple integer ratios don't matter. At the hardware level, it's all floating point (i.e., numbers with decimal points.)

Best,
Mark
