routing audio? Can't Post

hi i'm developping some patches using the audio from the videoclips
and the impossibility of patching/routing audio values through actors is driving me a bit crazy..
i need to mix two layers of sound and afterwards mix this result with another layer of sound (a+b=ab, ab+c=abc),
has anyone tried to do this? any results? experiences to share?

thanx,

There is no solution currently adide from cleverly modulating the 'volume' input of the various actors to achieve the results you desire.

There have been many requests to Apple's QuickTime API List (where programmers find help from the team) to allow Movie audio to be routed through CoreAudio or something to that affect. But they keep telling us that it isn't going to happen "anytime soon". One can only hope that in 10.5 they will solve this problem.

Hello,
I am doing that (mix different sound coming from video and live audio), with sounflower 16ch and live, you can easely affect command from isadora to live via midi.

hey guys! thanx for all the cues!
i've sorted the problem with relative values mixing already, though not perfect it's working.
anyway, i'd never though on using soundflower to route the audio and i'll be also trying to use a different channel for each movie player, and routing then individually to max where i can effect / equalize/ ... and mix them. as anyone tried this?

Yes, i do that and it work perfectly but for general use I found easier to use live (more visual).

During a workshop last week I prepared for student a max patch doing sound instant sampling, in parallel with isadora video buffer, not easy to do but working perfectly.
