4 720p videos on a Mac Pro?	Can't Post

Hello all,
I was asked to setup a video show that needs to play 4 HD (720p) in perfect sync.
I was hoping to buy aQuad core 2.66 Mac Pro with 8gb of ram, 2x NVIDIA GeForce GT 120 512MB and a seperate hard drive for each video.
Target frame rate is 30.

Is this possible?

I think with the Core Video upgrade to play and render the video (CI Movie Player, CI Projector) it would be possible. But I cannot guarantee it because I've not tried it myself.

Hi,
just a few remarks:

with these 2 graphic cards, you will have 4 outputs, so no "patching/control" monitor.

The max number of harddrives in a Mac Pro is 4, so you will have one media on the system HD.

I don't work anymore on Mac systems so I can't tell you about if it really "works" or not.
I run shows with that kind of projection specificites, but I use several PCs networked.

I am just afraid of the ability of one computer to start the 4 HD videos in good sync, because it's quite a big data stream.
For the sync., I would advice you just to start the videos at the same time, and let it run, without trying to do any synchro.

Do you just play the videos, or do you have any image processing in your patch ?
