Isadora on Mac Mini Can't Post

Has anyone ever run isadora off a mac mini? I wouldn't need a lot of processing power for the specific show, but I am not sure what the graphics card is capable of. I know it cant do dual outputs, but is the graphics card capable of driving a TH2Go? I would love to hear success or failure stories! Thanks,

austin

I've used a couple of Mini's in show's before, running izzy,

a few note's though, (i've only done show's, where they are a Node on a network all being triggered of a Master Machine)
The internal hard drives are slow, so it's best if you can run all your media of a external Hard Drive, (preferably firewire), keep you files small, 400x300 PhotoJpeg works well, and keep your patch's simple.

I haven't tried running TH2G off one, but based on the fact it doesn't take much to slow down a mini, it might not work great, however this may also come down the the patch your planing on using, if for example you were planing on just sending a single 800x300 file to one projector, then it might work fine, however if you need to modify the signal much, then it will probably slow down heaps.

Also note, all my experiences have been with Intel Solo processor machine, not the newer one's so they might work heaps better!

If I get some time I'll do a test for you,

you can buy a 7200rpm 2,5" inch drive and replace 5400rpm default.

they don't cost much these days and make all the difference IMHO.

a computer shop will do it for you if you dont wanna open the can.

or use a 7200rpm external 2,5" USB powered mini drive.

i wonder if you could make a miniraid with a USB hub and a few of those Crazy
