VideoGlide Can't Post

Has anyone used this driver with any USB video capture devices?
http://www.echofx.com/videoglide.html

And if so did it work well for you?

Re: [hal] VideoGlide [In reply to] Can't Post

Is there a specific device you want to use it with?

After having issues with the Miglia TV Max, Mark recommended I try the XLR8 ProView USB (linked off the same page you linked to) , which works like a dream on the MacBook with its own drivers. Somehow I even managed to plug it in and connect to it during a live set without needing to restart Isadora.

I also use the XLR8 ProView and I can't fault it. it did take ages and ages to be delivered to the UK but it was worth the wait.

I downloaded this too.. and it works with my Hollywood Dazzler whch is normally for the PC, and the video quality looks very good.

But I need to do more serious testing to know for sure. Def. worth a look though!

Best,
Mark

KWorld Xpert DVD Maker USB 2.0

Works great with VideoGlide on the Mac. And with 3rd party drivers on the PC.
And is much cheaper than the XLR8
Not sure why the KWorld Drivers do not work with Isadora on the PC, they seem to work with everything else.

But the working drivers I found here the device is a usb 2860

the Cute TV usb capture device does not work with Video Glide.

Does using this device with videoglide reduce the latency one has with a live DV camera (ie. does using an usb "digitizer" help eliminate the delay of a live camera in Izzy?).
Thanks for any comments, experiences, etc.

There is a delay but it depends how much of a delay you think is unacceptable I suppose. For £100 I cant complain too much for my XLR8.
