Hi folks. i'm currently running izzy on a pc, and its ok, but not particularly stable. i've got the opportunity to apply for some funding for a project that would include purchase of a mac for video editing in final cut pro, and realtime manipulation in isadora.
if this happens, i could go shopping in Spring next year.
what, in your opinion, would be a decent model to buy? at the moment it will be only used for single projector output and editing /playback of high-definition video files. i heard that there's input/output issues with the new macbooks - are these being resolved or should i go for an older model - and if so, do i have to get one second-hand.
i need to put the budget together soon, and i know very little about macs - i've never been able to afford to move up from pc.
