Mark,
I just recently watched the video of the seminar you held on motion control and dance and I must say I am very inspired. I too have always believed that having the performers control as many aspects of the performance as possible is the ultimate goal. I am working with musicians rather than dancers, but still live data is set up for manipulation.
As I watched the seminar, specifically the part about using infrared technology to isolate the video signal, I started dreaming of applications. I'm sure you are familiar with Poi Spinning. Though it is traditionally done with fire, I imagined a set of poi made with 2 spinning globes of infrared light and being able to isolate just the poi as data points. It might be pretty cool.
Some of the effects you create with the dancers and EyesWeb are quite breathtaking. Can you give us any isights as to how you accomplished this (like suggestions on Izyy patches used...etc.)?
