Jumpy video from Macbook within patches Can't Post

Hi everyone
I seem to have the same problem as the Mac Mini person, except I seem to get it in virtually every patch with 3D I seem to write.
Which is fine sometimes but not other times. I have a Macbook, 2.16 core 2 duo, with 2.5 gigs of RAM. I know that the MB is a little lacking in the 3D area graphics wise. Is that the main issue, or is there something I can do to optimize it?

Thanks in advance
deb

Your stuck with an integrated graphics card that shares memory with the CPU, and not much at that. Try making your stages smaller, if you can, as that may reduce the number of shaders required. But overall, the MacBook is not the place to be rendering 3D with any realtime expectations, in my experience in other software.

Re: [william] Jumpy video from Macbook within patches [In reply to] Can't Post

hi william
thank you for the (as always) concise and informative reply! i actually had never thought about rendering offline (still a newbie)....i'll give that a try and up the patience quotient in future projects. i didn't realize the macbook was so crippled in that regard. i guess i'll wait until sept 9 (if in fact that is the day apple start taking more of our money with new stuff) to see what's what.
thanks
deb
