sync again Can't Post
 i'd like to be able to record video clips of exactly 1 sec (no more or less). but when you trigger the capture actor it seems to take a while before it starts recording. im wondering whether it's got to do with the capture framerate/format settings, my computer's speed or just native quicktime bs that i shouldnt hope to succeed with

anyone knows?

This is not really possible at this time. QuickTime does a load of work to start up the recording process, and that delay is not avoidable at this time. If you don't need the movies to persist, and if you don't need sound, you might try the Buffer actor -- it can be record frames to RAM and is instantaneous.

hm yes, i thought so. I need sound cause im experimenting with implementing a sort of "video sampler" - a realtime environment for musicians simliar to traditional samplers - but with a visual layer. but thanks alot for the reply
