Associate Designer postion available, July 13-20 Can't Post

Lightbox, a dynamic, collaborative theatre ensemble in NYC (http://www.lightboxtheatre.org), will remount their original play, "Milk-n-Honey," as part of the Ko Festival at Amherst College from July 13-20, teching early in the week and performing from the 18th through the 20th. All performances will take place in the Holden Theatre on campus. Here is a link to the festival:

Lightbox is looking to hire an Associate Video Designer to coordinate the remount. The original design team will consult with the associate prior to technical rehearsals in Amherst, at which point the Associate will take the show through tech and performances on his or her own. Applicants should have an aptitude for setting up and focusing projectors; knowledge of video, including connecting cameras to video switchers/mixers and setting up cameras for "live feed"; a skilled to expert-user knowledge of Apple computers, including networking, altering system preferences, familiarity with displays and display connectivity and system back-up; a skilled to expert-user knowledge of Isadora, including all aspects of set-up, altering existing programming and working with the sound designer to facilitate integration with MIDI, Max/MSP or other methods; and communication skills to facilitate this process with the director and other designers. Applicants with extensive experience in technical rehearsals or touring with shows should mention this in their reply.

Lightbox will provide transportation to and from Amherst and lodging for the week with a $50 per diem. Additionally, Lightbox will provide the Associate with an "Associate Video Designer" credit and a fee of $750.

Lastly, the design team would like to meet somewhere between 1 to 2 weeks prior to the festival to begin discussing the show and looking through content and performance footage from the show. If this at all seems like a possibility, we'd like to arrange a meeting with you as soon as possible!
