Generating Text in QuickTime

In a recent post, a user was needing to create supertitles for a show, and struggling with Isadora's current limitations on text handling. In researching this, I came across a feature in QuickTime I didn't know about that might prove helpful to you all. http://www.apple.com/...textdescriptors.html If you save out a text file in the format specified on this page, QuickTime will render it out as it plays. You can even set the times at which the text appears. Unfortunately, Isadora isn't currently respecting the dimensions of the clip when there is _only_ a text track, and I'll look into that. But you can easily import the text into a movie, and then use QuickTime Player Pro to export an actual movie (e.g., photo JPEG) from there. Hopefully this tip will prove useful for some of you!
