is someone could do me a small favour Can't Post

Hello,
I'm a new Isadora user, this is an insane creative software but sadly my knowledge in programming are very poor and I'm very surprise there is so few post on patches and ways of build it. Most of users must already be very good to create complex patches.
I already master the main bases with the tutorials but I can't really create more complex projects.

My question is simple, I'd like to have a video loop; when a trigger is pulled the video player waits for the end of this loop in order to move on another video with no cut.
To resume : how could I manage to force the video player to wait for end of the video ?

I hope one of you could spend few minutes to give me a solution to create one more magic video project.
If you need any details just tell me I'll do all my best in order to help you
Thanks a lot

Your question is not so clear but if I understand, you want to chain different clip?

For that you have a loop end trigger in th movie player, with that you trig an integer counter (minimum 1, maximum your number of clip), and you put the result into "movie" enter of movie player.

Hope that help

OK I'll try to make it clear with an example :
I have a video loop of a guy taking a cigarette in the ashtray, smoking it and put it back in the ashtray (few seconds), in an endless movement. With a trigger (sensor or keyboard) I'd like the guy to do another action, drink a glass of water for example. But the big problem is that I want to avoid a cut in the video : the second video of the drink action must start before the guy take his cigarette in the ashtray, only when he his waiting. If the second video (drink) start when the trigger is pulled it may cut the guy with the cigarette in his mouth.
I have to find a solution to start the second video only at one moment of the loop (the end for example), in order to connect the 2 video to have a fluid movement. At the end of the second video (drink) the guy will take his cigarette and will start to smoke endlessly again in one continuous video.

I hope it's clearer
Thanks a lot
paul

you could use the end of movie trigger coming out of the movie player - but connect it to a gate.

Whatever actor is providing the trigger to get the next video to play is connected to the gate so it opens the gate when it triggers, allowing the end of loop trigger to get through to trigger a change of video.

HTH

as I understand it's something like the attachment. to use select a clip from the bin that you want to play next and it will be triggered when current clip reaches the end.

Hey everybody,
It took me a long time to get back on Isadora but I found the solution to loop my video as I want.
It was very easy in fact (but when you have no idea how to do it, it's quite abstract at the begining).

thanks a lot for your help
Paul
